greenlab – the Laboratory for Sustainable Design Strategies at weißensee kunsthochschule berlin, is starting the summer semester 2021 again with a symposium, this time on the topic of "Acker Löffel Campus". We would like to cordially invite you to participate virtually in the one-day event.

With the thematic focus of the symposium GreenDesign 10.0 – Food, Material Flows and Community Building – we want to set impulses to develop ecologically sustainable and social concepts in the context of the planned Campus expansion.

The lectures of international designers, architects, researchers and practitioners will focus on innovative concepts, practical developments, ecologically, socially and economically sustainable projects. We want to discuss new forms of agriculture, economies of healthy food and the possibilities of shaping neighbourhood community. Materials of sustainable construction will be thematised as well as the potentials of new and rediscovered old technologies for shaping our food culture in a more ecological and social way. All this should help us to develop a foretaste of a desirable future.

The programme GreenDesign 10.0 – Acker Löffel Campus_Programm

The symposium will be moderated by Dr. Tanja Busse and Dr. Claudia Banz.

Following the symposium, another semester of intensive research will begin within the framework of interdisciplinary semester projects offered in the design departments at weißensee. The results will be on display at the annual (digital and/or analogue) summer show.

The language of the presentations is German and English. Please register your participation here.

We look forward to your virtual attendance!
