How can we encourage people to pay more attention to local and regional plants?

As children of the big cities, we are not aware where our groceries are coming from, who produced them, or whether they are healthy and climate-friendly. Let’s change this, improve our eating habits and discover new things in our everyday environment!

The Little Green Guide is essentially a magic box for children and curious people of all ages, which playfully leads us to become more familiar with the world of edible plants. It consists of short exercises which guide us through the cycle of the four seasons and let us explore the whole wealth of scents, colours, forms, textures and sounds.

With all of these experiences, we aim to get closer to nature and become more conscious in how we obtain our food. Nutrition affects not only the body. It entails environmentally harmful transport routes, large quantities of waste and high energy consumption. That's why it is essential to learn more about the natural environment from an early age, to build a better understanding of the food production process and thus learn to value the use of regional and seasonal foods.
