You've probably heard about it many times. We throw away too much food. This is particularly bitter when you think about how many people outside the industrialized countries suffer from hunger. At the same time, there are also many here whose budget is too tight to afford good food.
In the future, the campus of our university should become a kind of experimental field for finding practical solutions to sustainability issues such as waste reduction, resource consumption or growing your own food. This could include a food sharing station for sharing (surplus) food.
The station cools food without electricity by condensing water. It is filled with food you have too much of and through donations from grocery stores or restaurants and is used by all university members, but also the neighborhood.
